1. Fundraising Manager for an urban planning and policy charitable trust, Mumbai

About the job

You will be in charge of two main areas:

Business Development: Create and implement a robust fundraising strategy for long-term, institutional funding, and build partnerships for UDRI across India and globally. Relationship Management:

Maintain relationships with current funders. Develop and carry out a relationship management strategy, which includes gathering essential information from the field and developing appropriate collateral for philanthropists and other stakeholders to increase the generation of funds and for reporting on the progress of funds received.

You will create and implement UDRI’s fundraising strategy, manage the development of proposals and other collateral for potential donors, manage donor database and ensure timely and effective reporting to donors, and create and implement a donor retention strategy

Skills/Experience

• Post graduate degree/ diploma in Social Sciences.
• At least 8-10 years of experience in fundraising/ investor relations and management.
• Expertise in fundraising strategy development and implementation.

The company is a public charitable trust committed to research and advocacy regarding urban planning and urban policy issues in Mumbai. Since 1984, when it was established by a group of eminent Mumbai citizens, they have brought sharply to the public’s notice problems regarding the physical form of the city, and advocated for solutions. It has adopted a multi-pronged approach based on advocacy and outreach, civic participation, capacity building and research to tackle key urban issues. These activities are conducted through various programs.

2. Manager – Educational Services at an engagement studio, Bangalore

About the job:

The company is looking for a highly competent and hard-working Manager of Educational Services. The ideal candidate will need to:

  • demonstrate mental and professional vigour on a sustained basis
  • seek to learn and develop continually while fulfilling his/her responsibilities in the role
  • be excited by the areas of work Meta-Culture is engaged in, which includes but is not limited to critical thinking, conflict management and collaborative processes
  • be able to independently manage all pre- and post- training activities of the educational services department
  • develop solutions for clients’ training and education needs
  • assist in designing and developing training modules with the trainers and senior consultants
  • actively engage in business development – this includes consistent and regular outreach to organizations across India and abroad to introduce our educational services, timely follow up, and creation of quality proposals as per requirement
  • develop and manage budgets for the training department and ensure profitability of the department

Educational Qualification and Experience:

You should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. A Master’s or MBA would be advantageous, but is not required. You should have above average interpersonal communication skills and be very effective at managing client relationships. [Because of stringent immigration laws, Indian citizens are preferred.]

3. Fundraising Officerat an education-based non profit, Bangalore

About the job:

You will need to establish and develop relationship with Corporates, Foundations, and Government, as well as establishing and stewarding relationships with Indian companies, domestic and international foundations, and United Nations agencies. Also work towards identifying donor resources and raising funds, and have the ability to write proposals independently for generating funds, and pursue long-term organizational sustainability through funding partnerships.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

You should have a graduate/post graduate degree in business administration, from a reputed institution like TISS/XIMB/ XLRI/ XISS or any other similar institutions, with (preferably) 5-8 years of experience of Raising Funds for non-profits, and 2-3 years of corporate / industry experience, with a passion for networking and communication.

Reasonable and relevant IT skills, presentation skills (Power point and other methods), and good communication skills (error free writing and speaking ability) are a plus.

About the company:

It is an Indian non-profit organization, established in 2003, that seeks to create a holistic learning environment for marginalized children who cannot afford holistic learning opportunities. They facilitate (non-formal) education and development of children by augmenting their school education through diverse learning opportunities.

4. Sales Force Operations Manager for a clean energy microfinance agency, Mumbai

About the job:

You will be required to hire, train and manage sales field force. You also need to coordinate with local program managers to establish last-mile distribution logistics process at each bank branch, coordinate with local program managers to deploy Credit Tracker supply chain logistics technology, and clearly document operational processes in manuals.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

You will need to have 5+ years experience managing a field force  in a rural or semi urban location, for example as a microfinance institution regional manager or as a regional sales manager, and 2+ years experience in marketing and sales. A track record of successful sales management, knowledge of multiple Indian languages, and knowledge of microfinance will be a plus.

They are a social enterprise that enables greater access to clean energy for poor people around the world by tapping the carbon market to expand access to capital.  By helping microfinance institutions (MFIs) provide microloans for clean energy technologies, those in the greatest need can purchase solar lighting for their home or business, and smoke-free stoves for their kitchens.
